Costières de Nîmes - White - 2008

Located at the top of the Costières de Nîmes region, the vineyard is south facing and benefits from constant sunshine. The Costières soil is made of Rhône rocky alluviums, better known as brownstone, and similar to the Cote du Rhône terraces. It mainly contains round flat stones of varying sizes (pebbles), with a constant mineralogical constitution.

60 % Grenache / 40 % Roussanne

The secret of this bottle is found in our pebbles. It is the pebbles which will warm our grapes at night, with the heat they have taken from the sun during the daytime. It is therefore a slow and constant maturity, with a low-temperature fermentation. It will reveal the richness of our soil.

The connoisseur will particularly appreciate it with goat’s cheese, tapenade (olive and anchovies purée) and brandade de morue (cod pâté), which are all specialities of the Nîmes area.

This wine should be served very cool (10-12°C), as higher temperatures could make it taste heavier than it is.

This wine should be drunk within the first two years following harvest to enjoy its full aroma.
