Costières de Nîmes - White- 2008

Located at the top of the Costières de Nîmes region, the vineyard is south facing and benefits from constant sunshine. The Costières soil is made of Rhône rocky alluviums, better known as brownstone, and similar to the Cote du Rhône terraces. It mainly contains round flat stones of varying sizes (pebbles), with a constant mineralogical constitution.

70 % Grenache / 30 % Roussanne

This vintage used an exceptionally low temperature which meant a particularly long fermentation. It takes forty-five days in total to create this characteristic wine.

This wine will not age well, so it is advised to drink it young. It is the perfect aperitif, but the berry aroma can also accompany a dessert of red berries.

This wine should be served chilled (10-12°C), but not too cold as it would spoil the taste. In fact, too low temperatures can trap the aromatic molecules and make the wine taste bland.
If you want to appreciate fully the freshness and aromatic richness of this wine, it should be consumed within the first two years following harvest.
